Today we’re talking about accessibility and accessing physical therapy. What do you need to do to come to physical therapy? It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is pick up the phone and give us a call. We now have something called direct access which means the public has access to physical therapy without a referral from a physician. If you do have a referral from a physician, it is important to know that it is your choice as to which physical therapist you go to. Some physicians own their physical therapist services. You do not have to go to the therapist that the doctor sends you to. You have a choice of where you want to be seen and who you trust.
